Wind god and Thunder God bring us Rain Water

As a tribute to TawarayaSotatsu, the originator of the Rim-pa school, I've recreated his iconic 'Wind God and Thunder God Screen' on a contemporary helmet.

This piece honors the legacy of Rim-pa, which was beautifully continued by Ogata Korin and Sakai Hoitsu through their own interpretations of Sotatsu's masterpiece. To further pay homage to these three luminaries, I've integrated symbols of 'Crane,' 'Cherry Blossom,' and 'Mount Fuji' onto the helmet. The characters on the rear are a custom creation, modified from meaning the 'Rim of wheel' radical.

 The aerodynamic parts of the helmet can be disassembled, and within these narrow areas, I deliberately placed the calligraphy for 'Wind' and 'Thunder.' A video of this process is projected onto a display built into the back of the shield, incorporating the production process into the background video.

風神と雷神は私たちに雨水をもたらします

　琳派の祖、俵屋宗達画「風神雷神図屏風」を現代の兜であるヘルメットに模写しました。琳派はこれを模写した尾形光琳、酒井抱一により時代を超えて引き継がれてきましたが、その偉人３人による「鶴」「桜」「富士」をヘルメットに集約させています。なお後頭部の文字は車偏に変えた造語です。

　ヘルメットは空力パーツを分解できますが、その狭いエリアにあえて「風」と「雷」の書をあしらい、その実演動画をシールド奥に内蔵したディスプレイに投影し、制作過程も背景動画に取り入れました。
